Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team. As an Assembly Specialist, you will perform a wide range of repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies in accordance with our standards. This role requires a high level of independence, and you will be responsible for resolving complex problems and troubleshooting assembly issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members, including documented on-the-job training.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and ensure compliance with our 5 Standards program.
  • Develop proficiency in 50% of department operations and work with manufacturing engineering on processes and changes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors through shift meetings, email, log books, and other written and verbal methods.
  • Report any problems, defective materials, or unsafe conditions to supervisors or leaders.
  • Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA, and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Listen to and understand customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action to exceed expectations.
  • Take personal ownership of internal and external customer issues.
  • Perform maintenance tasks to maintain equipment in good condition.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to teach and lead others.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to handle multi-task assignments and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to perform product inspections and simple troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate complex equipment and be capable of set-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in several areas of equipment/product knowledge.
  • Ability to train other operators.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Requires strong soldering skills, including under a microscope, and the ability to perform multiple mechanical assembly operations and train others in these areas.
Compensation and Benefits

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending, and health savings accounts. Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies vary depending on a wide array of factors, including skill sets, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $35,431 - $56,004. Additional compensation may apply based on position assignment, and positions hired for alternative shifts may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
