Job Title: Road Mechanic - NASCAR Cup Series

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Road Mechanic to join our team at 2311 RACING LLC fka Racing Acquisitions LLC. As a Road Mechanic, you will be responsible for preparing NASCAR Cup Series racecars for competition, ensuring they are in top mechanical condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety-Check and Verify Mechanical Integrity: Conduct thorough inspections of sub-assemblies, including driveline, steering, brakes, fuel containment, vehicle interior, and suspension, to ensure mechanical integrity.
  • Complete Suspension, Brakes, Drive Train, and Setup Changes: Perform brake rotors and pads, drop gears, differential pressure, shock adjustments, spring rounds, and front and rear bar blades changes as required.
  • Assist Team with Driveline Component Changes: Assist with engine, driveshaft, transaxle, and half-shafts changes.
  • Document Component and Setup Changes: Document all component and setup changes made in preparation for and throughout race events.
  • Assist Team with NASCAR Inspection Process: Assist with the NASCAR inspection process to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Diagnose and Repair Mechanical Failures: Diagnose and repair mechanical failures at track through inspection and service.
  • Aid Team with Over-the-Wall Crash Repair: Assist with over-the-wall crash repair during race events.
  • Maintain Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ Years of Auto Mechanic Experience: Must have at least 3 years of experience as an auto mechanic.
  • 2+ Years of Motorsports Experience: Must have at least 2 years of experience in motorsports.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated Strong Mechanical Knowledge: Must have demonstrated strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
  • Ability to Use Basic Metrology Tools: Must be able to use and read basic metrology tools, including tape measures and dial calipers.
  • Ability to Use Basic Hand and Power Tools: Must be able to use basic hand and power tools common in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to Understand, Communicate, and Work with Fractions and Decimals: Must be able to understand, communicate, and work with fractions and decimals.
  • Familiarity with Racecar Body and Chassis Repair: Must have familiarity with racecar body and chassis repair.
  • Strong Diagnostic and Problem-Solving Skills: Must have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to Identify and Propose Solutions to Complex Issues: Must be able to identify and propose solutions to complex issues.
