  • Compensation: $100-120K base salary (dependent on experience) plus benefits and performance bonuses

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will contribute to the success of the organization by fostering a workplace culture that emphasizes: (1) open and dynamic communication among team members, and (2) collaborative efforts to achieve key objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as federal and state income tax returns within specified deadlines,
  • Addressing and resolving intricate accounting challenges,
  • Offering insights to enhance accounting processes and practices,
  • Meeting productivity benchmarks and efficiency standards (billable hours),
  • Engaging directly with external clients on various matters and assisting with special projects with minimal oversight, and
  • Upholding professionalism and confidentiality in all client interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5-15 years of experience in insurance, captive insurance, or automotive finance accounting, including F&I and/or enterprise risk management accounting
  • Experience in a matrixed organizational structure
  • A minimum of 2 years in a senior accounting or managerial role
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP and IRS Tax Code/Regulations
  • Familiarity with IRS Circular 230 Regulations and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks
  • Experience with enterprise software such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Preferred experience with tax forms 1120 and 1065
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
