COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The anticipated salary range is between $130,500 and $145,000, dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.

PRIMARY ROLE OBJECTIVE

This position requires a high level of expertise and in-depth subject matter knowledge to effectively execute tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and suggested modifications of nuclear operations training programs specific to plant requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhances station and personnel performance through targeted training initiatives. Coordinates and delivers performance-based training programs, both licensed and non-licensed, in alignment with Constellation's training model and departmental protocols, applying the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases appropriately.
  • Ensures that training programs remain up-to-date, integrating insights from industry reports, regulatory updates, and plant procedure modifications.
  • Designs trainee assessments and conducts evaluations across various training environments, including classroom, laboratory, on-the-job training, and simulation, while also providing counseling and recommending tailored training programs based on evaluation outcomes.
  • Assists the station and fleet with business initiatives, project management, outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
  • Engages in audits conducted by regulatory bodies and management, preparing responses to any findings.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of plant operations and relevant skills to develop and deliver effective, high-quality training.
  • Oversees the collection and maintenance of verifiable training records and reports necessary for documenting training program activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in science/engineering or education/training with 4+ years of relevant industry experience/technical background OR
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience/technical background

Senior Operations Instructor - Job Code: XKAK - Grade: E03

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current or previous senior reactor operator license OR
  • Previous reactor operator with 4+ years of relevant industry experience (must achieve senior reactor operator certification within 18 months) OR
  • Senior reactor operator certification with 4+ years of relevant industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience in formal or informal training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Operations Instructor - Job Code: XKAG - Grade: E02

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or education/training
  • 6 years of experience in training within commercial nuclear power plants

Senior Operations Training Instructor - Job Code: XKAK - Grade: E03

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or education/training
  • Current or previous senior reactor operator license OR
  • Senior reactor operator certification with 6+ years of relevant industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience in formal or informal training.
