Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically capable Maintenance Aide to join our team at Park City Communities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to maintenance, janitorial, electrical, and plumbing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform repairs and adjustments to electrical and plumbing facilities and appliances, including changing outlets, replacing light bulbs, and cleaning out main sewer lines.
  2. Assist with carpentry work, repair, and replace locks, tumblers, hanging doors, and doorknobs.
  3. Install closet poles, curtain rods, and brackets, and repair hardware on sash, ex. handles and hinges.
  4. Repair or replace window screens or hardware necessary to install screens.
  5. Replace broken sash lights and remove broken glass from apartments and grounds.
  6. Assist the plumber in repairing and replacing valves/packing on radiators and valves/packing on water pipes.
  7. Prepare floors for installing tiles, wash windows, walls, mop floors, blinds, and wax floors.
  8. Repair or replace fences, posts, poles, and other site maintenance problems.
  9. Perform janitorial tasks as needed, including cleaning out vacant apartments and debris from sites.
  10. Assist with unit cleaning/rehab and help to keep the maintenance shop clean.
  11. Operate company motor vehicles, such as trucks, sweepers, snow blowers, jeeps, and grass cutters, and assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  12. Assist residents when locked out and accompany new residents for apartment inspection, and carry refrigerators, ranges, and cabinets in/out of apartments.
  13. Clean and service all offices, stairs, halls, lavatories, and community halls.
  14. Mow lawns and trim all hedges and shrubs, and perform landscaping duties as assigned.
  15. Be on-call 24 hours for snow removal.
  16. Complete work on all work orders and deliver copies of completed and signed work orders to the Foreman for reports, control, and filing purposes.
  17. Report to the Site Manager if the Foreman is out.
  18. Monitor rehabilitation of vacant units.
  19. Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or vocational training school graduate.
  • Knowledge of trades relating to maintenance.
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Certificate from a trade union or license building trade is a plus.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. without assistance, walk throughout the site, go up and down stairs, shovel snow, work in cold or hot weather conditions, answer incoming/outgoing calls, attend meetings/training, and be at PCC sites unaccompanied.
