Communication Specialist

Stony Brook Medicine is expanding its speech language pathology services to cater to a wide range of patient populations. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work collaboratively with our medical team to provide inpatient and outpatient services. Your advanced clinical and communication skills will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing, voice, and communication disorders, including tracheostomy and speaking valve management.
- Conduct objective assessments, such as Stroboscopy and Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies/Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing.
Required qualifications include a Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology, New York State License in Speech Language Pathology, and ASHA CCC-SLP certification. A minimum of one year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a medical setting is also required.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $98,190 - $121,204 per annum. This includes location pay and other benefits. Stony Brook University Hospital offers a comprehensive compensation package, which includes leave, health plans, and a state pension plan.
