Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment within our RV & Marine dealership.
This position encompasses regular cleaning and upkeep duties, guaranteeing that all spaces, including showrooms, service areas, customer waiting zones, and restrooms, are maintained to the highest standards.
The Facility Maintenance Specialist will also contribute to the dealership's overall functionality by assisting with minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday
Compensation: $16 - $18 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Upkeep:
Perform regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming throughout all dealership areas, including showrooms, service bays, offices, restrooms, and customer areas.
Empty waste receptacles and dispose of trash in designated locations.
Sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and ensure facilities are fully stocked and operational.
Clean windows, glass doors, and display areas to maintain a professional appearance.
Facility Maintenance:
Carry out minor repair and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and addressing small repairs.
Report any significant maintenance or repair requirements to the Facilities Manager.
Ensure all dealership areas are free from hazards and promptly address any safety issues.
Support Services:
Assist with the setup and breakdown for dealership events, meetings, and special functions.
Help with relocating furniture, equipment, and supplies as necessary.
Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed.
Exterior Maintenance:
Keep the exterior dealership grounds clean, including parking lots, entryways, and surrounding areas.
Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, de-icing, and leaf raking.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all dealership and safety policies and procedures.
Utilize cleaning and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience is preferred, particularly in a dealership or commercial environment.
Skills:
Basic understanding of cleaning and maintenance techniques.
Ability to operate custodial equipment such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning chemicals safely.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication skills and the capability to work independently.
Physical capacity to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist will work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions.
This role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Must adhere to all safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
