Ophthalmic Technician

Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician - Comprehensive Eye Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our Pediatric Eye Clinic team. As a Comprehensive Eye Care Specialist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive testing and eye evaluations to ensure optimum vision for all Eye Clinic patients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform various testing, including visual field tests, acuity testing, color vision testing, potential acuity meter testing, biometric A-scans, external and slit lamp examinations, and pachymetry testing.
* Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery by incorporating data and information to continuously improve care and practice while enhancing patient outcomes.
* Conduct routine cleaning, maintenance, calibration, and minor adjustments/repairs on all clinic equipment.
* Notify the appropriate department for additional maintenance.
* Perform the surgical scheduling process for all Eye Clinic patients.
* Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others while showing respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
