Position Overview:
NESC Staffing Corp. is looking for a dedicated Materials Planner to oversee inventory management within our manufacturing sector. This pivotal role involves predicting our material requirements and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies. The focus will be on vendor relations, where you will be tasked with sourcing both raw and finished materials essential for our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and forecast material needs based on current orders
- Engage in contract negotiations with suppliers
- Verify that materials comply with specified standards
- Place orders to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations
- Coordinate and streamline workflow on the production floor
- Prioritize and expedite orders when inventory levels are low
- Modify order quantities in response to changing demands
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with ERP system implementation is advantageous
- Background in supply chain and vendor management
- Strong negotiation and demand forecasting skills
- Understanding of SolidWorks and Bill of Materials (BOM)
