We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate ABA Therapist to join our team at Adventures With Autism. Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized ABA therapy programs under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Work closely with clients and their families to establish rapport, trust, and effective communication.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to clients, following prescribed treatment plans and intervention strategies.
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to analyze data and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Assist clients in developing and improving social, communication, and adaptive skills.
  • Incorporate play-based activities and structured teaching methods to engage and teach clients effectively.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients and actively participate in creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in ABA therapy.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports and documentation for client reviews and evaluations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to other locations within the Salem area.
  • Ability to work set full-time hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
Benefits
  • Paid Time Off (PTO); Full-time employees accrue PTO at 2.69 hours per pay period, up to 70 hours per year and can roll over up to 40 hours each year.
  • Sick Time: Full-time employees accrue sick time at 2.69 hours per pay period up to 70 hours per year in accordance with OR state statute.
  • Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are given 9 paid holiday days (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day).
  • Employee Assistance Plan: All employees are provided with the services of Canopy EAP free of charge during their employment.
  • Health Insurance: Full-time employees qualify after 30 days with health insurance beginning on the 1st of the following month. Three plans are available to choose from, or you may receive a stipend towards health insurance if you choose not to use AwA Health Insurance (proof of insurance required).
  • Flexible Spending Account: Full-time employees have access to contribute pre-tax earnings to an FSA of their choice for healthcare and/or dependent care.
  • Dental: Full-time employees qualify for dental coverage after 30 days, with coverage beginning on the 1st of the following month.
  • Access to Roth IRA: Full-time employees can contribute to a Roth IRA.
  • Weekly Professional Trainings: Full-time employees receive training every Wednesday from our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
  • CPR/First Aid certification: Full-time employees receive First Aid/CPR training at no-cost to them.
