Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert individual, family, and group therapy for USSOCOM members and their families, addressing psychological and social challenges unique to military life.
Your Responsibilities:
- Behavioral Healthcare and Counseling:
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to aid in the recovery and resilience of USSOCOM personnel.
- Provide comprehensive education concerning mental health conditions and treatment regimens, empowering patients with informed care decisions.
- Case Management and Collaboration:
- Oversee case management functions, coordinating care and tracking patient progress.
- Collaborate with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless, well-rounded health care delivery.
- Research and Development:
- Engage in active research to inform clinical interventions and improve behavioral health services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Mastery of clinical social work procedures, including interviewing and behavioral assessment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated understanding of cultural and psychological needs of military personnel.
