Environmental Consultant Opportunity

Atlas is a nationwide leader in civil engineering, materials testing, and geotechnical consulting services for environmental, industrial, and infrastructure construction projects. Our team is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our Alabaster, AL office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental assessments and remediation projects related to petroleum and hazardous waste sites.
• Conduct site investigations, including data interpretation and report writing.
• Manage and analyze soil and groundwater data, including summary tables and results interpretation.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals in a team environment and work independently as needed.

Requirements:

• degree in environmental science, geology, civil/chemical/environmental engineering, or a closely related field.
• 0-5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
• Ability to relocate to the Birmingham metro area.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
• Excellent task management, written, and verbal skills.

Technical Requirements:

• Ability to document field activities in detail.
• Basic understanding of soil and groundwater sampling requirements.
• Basic understanding of Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessment requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
