Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manages and prioritizes scheduled examinations.
  • Engages in collaboration with healthcare professionals, including physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and other medical personnel.
  • Gathers comprehensive medical histories and patient information.
  • Conducts cardiac ultrasound examinations adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Contributes to the education and training of echocardiographic techniques.
  • Ensures proper cleaning and disinfection of transesophageal probes and related equipment, maintaining a sterile examination environment.
  • Executes quantitative assessments and calculations based on collected data, providing initial reports.
  • Keeps accurate logs of patient information and documentation.
  • Responsible for ordering and replenishing necessary supplies.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess experience as an Adult Cardiac Sonographer in a high-volume cardiac setting.
  • Expected to perform approximately 28 outpatient procedures weekly.
  • Responsible for both inpatient and outpatient echocardiographic services.
  • Types of Studies Conducted: Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Stress Echocardiograms, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms, Contrast Echocardiograms, Bubble Echocardiograms, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE). IV initiation is not required.
  • Utilizes advanced equipment, including 6 Philips Epiq Echo Machines.
  • Familiarity with Syngo Dynamics PACS is essential.
  • Proficient in reporting systems such as Cupid and EPIC.
  • RDCS Certification (or equivalent) is mandatory.
