The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will spearhead the financial strategy of Seres Smith Consulting by overseeing financial objectives, goals, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports for governmental agencies.
  • Analyze sales and profit forecasts against actual performance and budgeted expenses; implement necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Monitor working capital closely and recommend actions to optimize its management.
  • Plan, consolidate, and maintain the overall company budget and financial forecasts.
  • Manage cost accounting processes to evaluate product margins and influence pricing strategies.
  • Oversee weekly cash management activities.
  • Maintain relationships with local government entities and banking institutions.
  • Supervise the preparation of tax documentation for the company.
  • Continuously review and enhance financial processes to eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Review all month-end closing tasks, including general ledger and balance sheet accounts, as well as overhead cost allocations.
  • Prepare and deliver management reports, including in-depth analyses.
  • Act as a primary liaison for external auditors; oversee the preparation and support for all external audits.
  • Manage insurance contracts, including commercial and risk management.
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and controls.
  • Support information technology functions as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • High level of confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Proficient in various computer platforms and applications.

Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • MBA or CPA designation preferred.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in financial management within a manufacturing or production environment is required.
