Roofing Sheet Metal Craftsman

The Durable Slate Company is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our roofing crew, you will be responsible for installing and repairing copper roofing using historically correct fabrication and installation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair copper roofing using traditional methods and materials
• Work with built-in gutters and hanging gutters, slate or tile roofing
• Collaborate with our team to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Travel to job sites as needed to complete projects
• Meet physical demands of the job, including carrying 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in commercial and residential roofing, preferably in slate and sheet metal roofing
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance for base access or other Federal projects
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (4 points or less)
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and occasional random screening
