Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services, requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice. This role involves meeting the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, as well as communicating effectively with patients and families. The nurse works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • A current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • A current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • A current PALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
