Position Overview:
The Kitchen Steward is tasked with upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen and dining areas. This role is crucial in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces are maintained in pristine condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas, including storage and utility spaces.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and sinks.
- Wash pots, pans, and utensils, adhering to proper sanitation procedures.
- Maintain floors in all food and beverage areas through sweeping, mopping, and washing.
- Communicate any shortages of supplies or equipment to management promptly.
- Operate dishwashing machinery to ensure thorough cleaning of all dining ware.
- Return cleaned items to their designated storage locations with care.
- Understand and apply safe handling techniques for cleaning chemicals.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to management without delay.
- Dispose of waste from food and beverage areas responsibly.
- Familiarize oneself with the location and operation of fire safety equipment.
- Practice safe working habits to prevent injuries.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining events as needed.
- Support banquet services by providing necessary dining ware based on operational demands.

- Exhibit a warm and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and guests.
- Demonstrate strong listening skills to address concerns from guests and staff.

Rate of Pay: $21.40/hour
