Job Title: Production Quality Control Specialist
Job Summary:
The Production Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company meets the required specifications and tolerances in the manufacturing process. This involves testing, measuring, and validating products to ensure they meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the company is meeting the required specifications and tolerances in the manufacturing process.
- Identify and record pass/failed products and their proper sequence.
- Observe dials, gauges, indicators to ensure they are working properly.
- Keep the work area orderly with respect to materials, tools, and personal belongings.
- Ensure the application of the coating is within the required standards.
- Follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
- Ensure the material is properly sent in MES.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of visual inspection experience in an OCTG or line pipe manufacturing environment.
- Working experience using micrometers, ovality, and ultrasonic thickness gages.
- Basic arithmetic math skills and able to read measuring equipment.
- Ability to push, pull, and have good finger and hand dexterity with good hand-eye coordination.
Working Conditions:
The working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The employee will be required to work in a hot and cold environment, and will be exposed to greasy, dirty, and noisy conditions. The employee will be required to lift, pull, and/or push materials and products up to 50 pounds, and will be required to stand and walk considerable distances.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats.
Authority and Obligation:
- This position has the authority to stop production at any time that is deemed necessary.
