About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Treatment Nurse to join our team at Diversicare Healthcare Services & Diversicare Ther. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications, orally and by injections, in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Provide treatments to residents per physician orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Observe and record residents' reactions to medications and treatments, reporting any changes to supervisors and attending physicians.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances, maintaining a secure and compliant environment.
  • Document all services provided, maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records.
  • Report any changes in residents' conditions to supervisors and attending physicians, ensuring prompt and effective care.
  • Sign off on medication and treatment administration, as required by policy.
  • Provide education to residents and families regarding care, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring positive outcomes for residents.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and quality care.
  • Ensure safe work practices are utilized, prioritizing resident and staff safety.
  • Implement proper infection control techniques, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
Requirements
  • Current license by the State Board of Nursing, as an R.N. or L.P.N.
  • Ability to lead and motivate subordinates, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change, adapting to changing work schedules and priorities.
  • Able to work intimately with residents, physicians, and staff, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Capable of working to prescribed nursing standards, ensuring high-quality care and compliance.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine interest in providing exceptional service.
