Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Postpartum Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and monitoring new mothers after delivery, ensuring proper recovery and healing, physically and emotionally.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor new mothers after delivery to ensure proper recovery and healing
  • Clean and monitor newborn babies
  • Check vital signs of mothers and babies
  • Check Caesarian incisions if applicable
  • Remove catheters after delivery
  • Dispense medication as needed
  • Provide education to new parents regarding infant care
  • Work with lactation consultants to help new mothers breastfeed
  • All other responsibilities as needed
Requirements
  • Motivated candidates with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
  • BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
