We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at HCA Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the transfer, positioning, and transport of patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of operating rooms between cases, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Perform terminal cleaning of surgical areas, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and supply levels, ensuring timely ordering and restocking.
- Assist patients with personal care needs, including urinals, bedpans, and emesis basins.
- Contribute to the upkeep of waiting areas, lobbies, utility rooms, and patient care areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient care or support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies, as well as stand for long periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
