Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room and equipment according to patient needs.
- Implement housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Pull necessary supplies and equipment for procedures.
- Participate in the "Time Out" process.
- Collaborate with the circulator to prepare for scheduled cases.
- Provide a comfortable environment for patients, including minimizing noise levels.
- Ensure all supplies are sterile and handle them with aseptic technique.
- Responsible for receiving and handling sterile supplies on the sterile field.
- Count instruments, sponges, sharps, and other items.
- Assist surgeons as directed and demonstrate a commitment to sterile technique.
- Communicate effectively with the team and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification preferred
- 1-3 years of experience required
- Preferred: Surgical Technologist Certification
