Main Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Develop and implement education plans to enhance the clinical knowledge and skills of nursing staff.
  • Staff Development: Collaborate with Nursing Directors and Managers to identify education needs and develop strategic plans to address them.
  • Precepting and Mentoring: Provide coaching and supervision to new hires to ensure they meet the standards of practice.
  • Competency Assessment: Coordinate competency assessment programs to validate the clinical knowledge and skills of nursing staff.
  • Education Calendar: Develop and maintain an education calendar to ensure that nursing staff receive regular training and updates.
  • Performance Improvement: Guide the performance of nursing staff to ensure consistent standards of practice and promote a culture of excellence in patient care.

Requirements
  • Current California RN License
  • Minimum Nursing Degree: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BCLS and ACLS Certifications
  • Minimum Three Years Acute Nursing Experience
  • Minimum Two Years Clinical Education Experience

Physical Demands
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate physical environments safely.

  • Hearing Requirements: Ability to understand auditory communications.
