About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Fleet Remediation Project Design Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading design projects in operational data centers, remedying issues, upgrading existing infrastructure, and adding new services.

You will work closely with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.

The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering judgment, be detail-oriented, and have experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants. You will also be responsible for building trust and relationships with different stakeholders, managing design and as-built drawings and documents, and preparing and presenting progress reports to all relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design projects in operational data centers, remedying issues, upgrading existing infrastructure, and adding new services.
  • Work closely with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
  • Manage design and as-built drawings and documents.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
  • Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities, especially data centers.
  • Experience as a resident design engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
