Job Summary

Market Equipment is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of refrigeration systems
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair multiple types of refrigeration systems, including self-contained coolers and freezers, single and rack systems
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs on refrigeration equipment, including walk-in drain lines, case drain lines, cooling towers, and water-cooled condensers
  • Work directly with grocery store managers and store directors to provide excellent customer service
  • Quote equipment repairs and recommend replacement when necessary
  • Maintain proper van stock, tools, and safety equipment on work vans
  • Inspect plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems to identify specifications and requirements
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Use supplies and materials appropriately in refrigeration repairs
Requirements
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC/R and controls)
  • Able to use tools such as hand tools, tape measures, battery-operated tools, pressure gauges, etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the refrigeration cycle
  • Experience with refrigeration and/or commercial HVAC installation/service
  • Availability for on-call work as needed
  • Ability to pass a physical/drug screen/background investigation/driving abstract
