We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UTHealth Houston. As a key member of our cardiology department, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and/or chronic health conditions in a clinic or hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with heart failure, ventricular assist devices, and transplant needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families
  • Participate in transplant evaluations, listings, and post-transplant care
  • Manage medication regimens, lab results, and other patient data
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
  • Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and APRN-NP
  • Current specialty certification as required by department
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Masters in Nursing as NP or completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program
