Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in the rehabilitation of patients with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to develop effective treatment plans that promote and/or maintain good health.
  • Perform treatment techniques in a competent manner, educating patients and their families/caregivers on applicable health information, treatment, and prevention.
  • Initiate and participate in discharge planning processes, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
  • Document patient information, bill for services, and support department operations as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Evaluation and treatment skills necessary to provide Physical Therapy appropriate to the developmental and chronological age of patients on caseload.
  • Professional initiative, objectivity, good time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist, Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact license.
Work Environment

This role requires standing frequently, walking frequently, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions is also necessary.

Travel Requirements

This position requires occasional travel, approximately 10% of the time.
