Job Title: Vet Cadets Teacher

At the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Vet Cadets Teacher to join our team. As a Vet Cadets Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our young learners, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans for preschool-aged children in an early childhood setting.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for each child, supporting their academic, social, and personal development.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians.
  • Use a wide range of teaching methods to enhance the child's abilities, including stories, indoor or outdoor games, drawing, and more.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
Requirements:
  • Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college or university in early childhood education and child development.
  • At least one year of qualifying teaching experience, with at least one year as a teacher, in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable group care program, in the care of infants and/or toddlers.
  • Documentation of attaining at least step 6 in the Oregon Registry.
Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent bending, crouching, and sitting on the floor. The ideal candidate is full of positive energy and has experience leading the daily classroom routine for a group of children under the age of 3.

Compensation details: 20-22 Hourly Wage
