Job Title: Director of Supply Chain Trading

The Director of Supply Chain Trading will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply chain operations, with a specific focus on CFM and CF6 engine components. This individual will be a subject matter expert, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure seamless trading activities and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement supply chain strategies for CFM and CF6 components to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Trading Management: Oversee trading operations for CFM and CF6 engine components, ensuring optimal inventory levels, timely procurement, and effective vendor management.
  • Expertise Utilization: Leverage in-depth knowledge of CFM and CF6 engines to drive informed decision-making and problem-solving within the supply chain.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and logistics, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and reliability of supply.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners, negotiating contracts and managing performance to meet company standards.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance supply chain processes to drive efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on trading and procurement of CFM and CF6 engine components.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Proven expertise in CFM and CF6 engines, including in-depth knowledge of their supply chain requirements and challenges.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
