About the Role

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Service Aide to join our team. As an Environmental Service Aide, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, furniture, and other areas of the facility in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Deliver linens and remove trash from assigned areas.
  • Sweep and mop patient rooms.
  • Maintain adequate stock of materials, supplies, and chemicals on cleaning carts and in janitor's closets.
  • Perform daily floor care procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is kept clean and polished, including carts, tanks, and buckets.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers.
  • Exceptional focus on teamwork.
  • Ability and passion to deliver high-quality care based on a strong sense of patient focus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Environmental Service or Housekeeping experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
