Job Title: IBM WebSphere Application Server Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled IBM WebSphere Application Server Administrator to join our team at Pantheon Data. As a key member of our cloud migration project, you will be responsible for leading the migration and administration of IBM WebSphere Application Server environments from on-prem environments to AWS GovCloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and optimize IBM WebSphere instances in the AWS environment, including setting up clusters, managing resources, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Implement security measures, including SSL/TLS and identity management solutions, in accordance with DoD standards and AWS security best practices.
  • Monitor WebSphere environments for performance issues and potential risks, addressing them proactively to ensure high availability.
  • Document WebSphere configurations, migration processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational support.
  • Provide application support and troubleshooting support during and after migration.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience administering IBM WebSphere Application Server environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based deployments, preferably in AWS or AWS GovCloud.
  • Strong understanding of RHEL and AIX systems.
  • Experience with middleware integration, performance tuning, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with DoD security compliance standards and government cloud solutions.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of WebSphere in cloud environments.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location:

United States - Remote with occasional travel to client sites.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $132,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
