We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanic 2nd Shift to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical system activities and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate all mechanical system activities, including aircraft testing and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate manpower requirements to support maintenance tasks, systems testing, and discrepancy resolution.
- Assist management with supervision and instruction of aircraft technicians in proper procedures and techniques.
- Perform engine runs on aircraft as required and maintain a current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes (ASCs) and other procedures.
- Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain good housekeeping and safety in all areas.
- 5 years of aviation maintenance experience with advanced knowledge of inspection and heavy maintenance of mid/large-size aircraft.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and heavy maintenance, including aircraft component removal and installation, flight control rigging, engine removal, and installation.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to work 2nd shift and travel up to 25%.
