Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor/Senior Auditor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will be responsible for planning and executing audits, identifying risks, and developing recommendations to mitigate those risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute audits to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and assess risks, and develop recommendations to mitigate those risks
  • Prepare and present audit reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of audit recommendations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in internal auditing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in auditing, business process analysis, compliance, risk analysis, and assurance services
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CISA
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft desktop productivity applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in accounting, information systems, or a related field
  • Five years of experience in auditing or a related field
  • Experience with TeamMate or similar electronic work paper systems
  • Knowledge of Texas statutory requirements applicable to public universities
