We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor/Senior Auditor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will be responsible for planning and executing audits, identifying risks, and developing recommendations to mitigate those risks.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute audits to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Identify and assess risks, and develop recommendations to mitigate those risks
- Prepare and present audit reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of audit recommendations
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in internal auditing
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in auditing, business process analysis, compliance, risk analysis, and assurance services
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CISA
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft desktop productivity applications
- Advanced degree in accounting, information systems, or a related field
- Five years of experience in auditing or a related field
- Experience with TeamMate or similar electronic work paper systems
- Knowledge of Texas statutory requirements applicable to public universities
