Physical Therapist Assistant

Sebring Opco LLC is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physical therapy services to our residents.
Job Summary:The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing physical therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. You will work closely with our licensed clinicians to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing residents for treatment by dressing and positioning them, and administer physical therapy in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments, and other necessary tasks.
- Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required.
- Conduct therapy screens, at least quarterly, to determine the need for services.
- Ensure that the business office receives charges for therapy services rendered to residents, with documentation.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed by the Administrator and/or Director of Rehab Services.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent to meet licensing board state requirements.
- None required. On-the-job training provided by a Physical Therapist.
- Works in office, resident rooms, and therapy area(s).
- Moves intermittently throughout the workday.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, and other departments under all conditions and circumstances.
- Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing physical therapy services and its programs and activities as directed, within scope of practice.
- Participates in work assignments and schedule hours, as requested by the Director of Rehab Services.
- Agrees to not disclose resident's protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
