Production Director Role Overview

Position Summary:

The Production Director is responsible for managing all facets of audio, video, lighting, and stage design across various campuses. This role includes maintaining equipment, overseeing AVL projects, and designing effective AVL systems while aligning with the organization's mission and values.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the Production CTL on AVL design and project oversight.
  • Facilitate training programs for production staff and volunteer development.
  • Provide support to production teams across different campuses as required.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and contribute to workflow strategies.
  • Create and manage maintenance schedules for AVL equipment and supervise necessary repairs.
  • Oversee inventory management and asset upkeep.
  • Lead the design and execution of set plans and rigging processes.
  • Assist in the production of events organized by the organization.
  • Gather and process feedback from services to enhance production quality.
  • Effectively allocate resources to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of audio, video, and lighting technologies.
  • Expertise in AVL wiring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant production experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing over 50lbs.
  • Skilled in the installation of production equipment.
