The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with the store team.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining a Safe and Secure Environment:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for associates and customers by identifying and addressing potential safety issues.
- Monitor store entrances and exits to prevent theft and fraud.
- Remove clutter and ensure safe, clear egress to emergency exits.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Treat all customers and associates with respect and professionalism.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the store team and external partners.
- Monitor store entrances and exits for potential theft and fraud.
- Identify and address suspicious behavior and gather theft indicators.
- Communicate effectively with store leadership and loss prevention leadership.
- Identify and address opportunities to minimize operational shortage.
- Train and educate associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
- One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
- Active Security Guard License preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
- Must be able to raise or lower objects more than 25 lbs., from one level to another.
