As a member of Contact Government Services, LLC, the Legal Witness Liaison will provide essential legal support to a federal agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist before, during, and after trials, including direct interaction with fact witnesses, ensuring their attendance at court, pretrial meetings, and grand jury sessions.
  • Handle administrative duties such as welcoming visitors, managing phone inquiries, and addressing questions from fact witnesses regarding their involvement in cases.
  • Act as the main contact for key witnesses, providing them with crucial information about trial logistics, including travel arrangements and appearance schedules.
  • Collaborate with team members regarding witness-related information, including attendance and unique circumstances.
  • Complete and submit necessary documentation for special authorizations and secure prior approval for travel arrangements.
  • Ensure that all required documentation is provided to fact witnesses concerning their court appearances, adhering to agency protocols.
  • Meet with fact witnesses upon their arrival at designated hearings or pretrial conferences, offering courtroom orientation, accompanying them to court, ensuring a secure waiting area, and collecting essential documentation and signatures for legal forms.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for fact witness reimbursements.
  • Execute general office procedures related to fact witness management.
  • Provide a range of direct legal assistance services.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a legal environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management, and data entry.
  • Familiarity with office technology, including computers, fax machines, and copiers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently;
  • Capacity to consistently produce high-quality work under pressure;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are crucial;
  • Must be a United States Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in client-facing communication.
  • Security clearance issued by a federal agency.
