Orthopaedic Surgery Faculty Position

The University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking dedicated full-time faculty members across all ranks. The selected candidates will engage in both inpatient and outpatient care as part of their academic medical careers. Responsibilities will also encompass teaching and mentoring of trainees and students, alongside contributing to scholarly activities.
Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following criteria prior to employment commencement: 1) possess a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited orthopaedic surgery residency or its equivalent, and 5) have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship or its equivalent in a relevant specialization.
We particularly encourage applicants with a focus on joint replacement surgery, as they will have the opportunity to establish a thriving practice and lead clinical research initiatives in this domain.
