Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Cheshire. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to women and newborns during the childbirth process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients from infancy through the adult life span, utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development to individualize the nursing process.
  • Collaborate with the midwife-led team to provide low-intervention, personalized pregnancy care.
  • Assist with births and provide postpartum care to new mothers and their babies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Postpartum and Mother/Baby care experience.
  • Epic EMR experience.
  • ACLS certification.
  • AWHONN Certification within the past 3 years (preferred).

  • Cover page (if available/not required).
  • Work History.
  • License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (Current Nursys, BLS, and NRP).

Please note that we do not consider Local Travelers (those who reside within 50 miles of the facility). Covid vaccinations are strongly recommended, but not required. We also require de-escalation training as part of the onboarding and clearance process.
