Physicist II Job Description

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Physicist II to contribute to the Department of Radiation Oncology. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of accurate radiation doses to pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with personnel to ensure accurate radiation doses are delivered to pediatric patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in radiation physics and radiation safety.
  • Provide educational activities to promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards.
  • Participate in budget preparation and equipment specifications and purchases to ensure adequate and uninterrupted services to patients.
  • Organize and document all radiation physics records to ensure accurate and timely performance of procedures.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement/control activities and develop, implement, maintain and report department quality improvement plan.
  • Assist with the orientation and training of new staff.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Physical Sciences required.
  • Four (4) years of experience with MS in Physics.
  • Completion of Part II of the American Board of Radiology Exam preferred.
Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $138,320 - $262,080 per year.
