As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the Cayuga Health System, you will play a vital role in a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the community. LPNs are empowered to practice within their full scope and are actively involved in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, while executing optimal care plans in a shared governance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in patient care planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the healthcare team.
Essential Qualifications:
  • License: Must possess an active New York Nursing license; out-of-state nurses are encouraged to apply.
  • Education: Completion of an accredited LPN program is required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; new hires may obtain this during the introductory period.
Work Environment:
  • Onsite role with minimal travel requirements.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers (e.g., typing); ability to lift and carry light loads (up to 40 lbs); may involve bending and kneeling.
  • Ability to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods as necessary; must be capable of operating required equipment.
Compensation:
  • Hourly pay range of $24.04 to $28.
