Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Companion Animal Welfare Specialist to join our team and support the proper operation of our kennels.

The ideal candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent and be able to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Job Responsibilities

The Companion Animal Welfare Specialist will be responsible for all cleaning, feeding, bathing, and animal handling in accordance with K9s For Warriors policies and procedures.

This includes:

  • Cleaning and maintaining kennel facilities
  • Feeding and caring for dogs
  • Ensuring the overall safety of the kennel facilities and dogs

The successful candidate will also participate in enrichment activities for dogs and follow veterinary staff instructions for assisting in dog care.

Physical Demands

This role requires moderate to extensive physical effort, including stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling, walking stairs, climbing, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds individually.
