As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Health Ministries Clinic Community Health Center, you will play a vital role in providing continued patient care by assisting in areas that require additional attention. This position is key in scheduling to specialists as needed and tracking of patients hospitalized.
You will be responsible for receiving, processing, scheduling, and following up on all medical referral requests, including in-house and outside referrals for diagnostic testing, medical specialists, or other providers.
In this role, you will process and forward requests for any information on medical history from medical charts. Additionally, you will follow up with nursing staff to confirm appointments, procedures, and authorizations.
