Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and driven Welding/Machining Supervisor to join our vibrant team. This role is crucial in a fast-paced manufacturing setting dedicated to achieving outstanding results. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in welding and machining, overseeing a team of proficient professionals while collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and direct a team of welders and machinists, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and meeting productivity and quality benchmarks.
2. Develop, implement, and uphold welding and machining procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
3. Mentor and train team members to improve their skills and overall performance.
4. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth production workflows.
5. Manage inventory levels of raw materials and welding/machining supplies.
6. Conduct regular machinery inspections to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
7. Identify and resolve issues related to welding and machining processes.
8. Maintain detailed records of all welding and machining activities.
9. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
10. Participate in budget planning and cost management for the welding/machining division.

Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in welding and machining.
2. Proven expertise in machine programming and experience as a manufacturing engineer.
3. Advanced understanding of welding and machining principles, techniques, and safety standards.
4. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to train and develop team members effectively.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
9. Proficient in operating various welding and machining equipment and tools.
10. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
11. Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
12. High mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
