Registered Nurse Pre-Assessment Testing Specialist

At SCA Health, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional outcomes. As a Registered Nurse Pre-Assessment Testing, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care before, during, and after their procedures.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia plans of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical history, surgical plans, and laboratory results.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Administer medications safely and correctly, using the 8-rights of safe medication administration.
- Provide education to patients and families on post-operative care, wound management, and pain management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- One year of pre-op, PACU, and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Current state licensure to practice nursing in good standing.
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment.
- Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment.
- Specialty certification in Perioperative or Perianesthesia Nursing is preferred.
- A competitive hourly rate of $28.00-$39.00.
