We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Dartmouth Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms and pre-op/post-op areas for patient care, anticipating needs based on established schedules.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for patients, including daily calibrations of anesthesia equipment and ensuring availability of oxygen tanks.
- Position patients for regional anesthesia and assist with patient transfers to stretchers, beds, and operating room tables.
- Perform point-of-care laboratory testing and participate in quality assurance programs.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and families, and maintain accurate clinical charts and flow sheets.
- Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or program accepted by the Association of Surgical Technologists.
- National certification as a surgical technician required.
- BLS Certification and current registration with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians.
