Job Summary

Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Specialist to provide medical care and support to students in a school setting. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, while ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Nursing Care: Administer first aid, medications, and manage chronic health conditions for students.
  • Conduct Health Assessments: Identify health concerns and provide referrals for students.
  • Develop Individualized Healthcare Plans: Create personalized plans for students with specific medical needs.
  • Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Address health-related issues and ensure a healthy school environment.
  • Monitor and Manage Communicable Diseases: Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations.
  • Provide Health Education: Educate students, staff, and families on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain Accurate Student Health Records: Comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in IEP and 504 Meetings: Provide input on health-related accommodations and services.
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License: In the state of New Jersey.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Related Field: Preferred.
  • Previous Experience as a School Nurse or Pediatric Nurse: Highly preferred.
  • Strong Clinical Skills: Ability to respond to medical emergencies and manage chronic health conditions.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to work with educators, parents, and students.
