Position Details

The Fire Safety Systems Inspector is responsible for the evaluation and inspection of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, demonstrating familiarity with various manufacturers' products. We seek self-driven, customer-focused inspectors who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The inspector will be tasked with delivering precise and thorough inspection reports, including all necessary documentation of findings and recommendations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections, testing, and servicing of life safety equipment
  • Manage low voltage wiring and associated devices for operational efficiency
  • Operate independently while executing fire safety inspections
  • Maintain daily communication with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator regarding inspection progress, project delays, and job status
  • Collaborate with Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator, and Administrative Staff to ensure complete project closeout and turnover to clients

Qualifications

Preferred NICET Level II or III certification.

  • In-depth knowledge of life safety and NFPA regulations
  • Familiarity with alarm systems, devices, and essential components
  • Understanding of sprinkler controls and related systems
  • Willingness to perform maintenance and testing duties
  • Proficient in documentation and skilled in using personal computers and Microsoft Office
  • Adept at coordinating inspection findings with necessary corrective services
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Capable of presenting information and addressing inquiries from management, clients, and regulatory authorities
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in accordance with company policy
  • Willingness to undergo post-offer drug screening, background checks, and reference verification
