Nurse Supervisor Labor and Delivery Full Time Nights

**Job Summary**
This position is part of the departmental leadership team that provides clinical supervision on a shift basis, including coordination and assignment of patient care. The successful candidate will serve as a unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges, and transfers. Additionally, they will coordinate unit staffing for the next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator, and/or House Officer. As a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff, the Nurse Supervisor will provide supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews. They will also complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Coordinate and assign patient care on a shift basis
• Serve as a unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Coordinate unit staffing for the next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator, and/or House Officer
• Provide clinical and leadership supervision to staff
• Participate in department staff evaluations and performance reviews
• Complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period
**Requirements**
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• 1 year RN experience
• Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• National Specialty Certification (preferred)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS/TNCC, PALS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications (required within 1 year of hire or transfer date)
• ENPC certification (required within 18 months of hire or transfer date)
