Position Overview: The Mobile Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the phlebotomy team, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the phlebotomy team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Manage work schedules, assign tasks, and review timecards for accuracy.
  • Conduct quality assurance assessments to ensure adherence to best practices and safety standards.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, enhancing their skills and competencies.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specialized specimen collection procedures as needed.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between management, staff, and healthcare providers regarding patient care matters.

Quality and Safety Functions:

  • Ensure accurate processing and transportation of specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to specimen collection and processing.
  • Maintain a safe laboratory environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including data entry and specimen handling.
  • Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) and additional relevant certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
  • Proficient in using laboratory information systems and office software.

Travel Requirements: This position may involve travel within the designated metropolitan area.
